DayEyez just released “Grave,” and honestly, it’s a mess in the best way possible. This song doesn’t dance around relationship failures, it grabs them by the throat and forces you to look at the wreckage.
The whole thing sounds massive, and those drums hit like sledgehammers, and the vocals get layered and distorted until they sound almost desperate. Sure, there’s AI involved in the production, but you’d never know it from listening, the sound is organic and lived-in, not like some computer threw instruments together. I’m sure this band will get into the top charts someday.
“Grave” is the last single before their album “Mid Love Crisis” drops in October, and if this is what we’re getting as a preview, that record might be something special. DayEyez managed to write a song about screwing up that doesn’t feel sorry for itself.
