Dropped right on his 24th birthday, this record takes heavy inspiration from early Tumblr culture and classic iPhone-era pop icons. He takes those bright synth sounds and updates them nicely for a fresh release in 2026.
Right from the start, “Pop Boi” brings huge hooks and an energetic rhythm that catches your ear right away. “No Saint!” keeps that momentum going strong with a snappy tempo and clever lyricism and then comes “2014,” a track that feels like pulling an old neon sweater out of the back of your closet. It gives you a strong dose of nostalgia while keeping the bass kick modern and punchy. Finally, “B-Day Cake <3” rounds out the set with playful production. A fun detail to notice: the first letters of each song spell out Y-O-L-O.
What makes this release special is how genuine it feels. So much current pop music relies on heavy sarcasm or trying too hard to look cool. Robbie Z ignores that trend completely, choosing pure enthusiasm and good melodies over cynical posturing. The production sounds clean, yet it retains plenty of individual personality throughout all four tracks.
