“We Are Chaos” arrives as a striking dream-pop single created by Colin Crooks, who previously played in PBR Streetgang and Bad Noise Monster. Rather than leaning into the abrasive distortion from his past work, this release shifts the focus entirely toward atmosphere, space, and texture. The arrangement carries a patient momentum, giving every element plenty of room to breathe.

Colin plays the piano and the bass. Edelle McMahon sings the vocals. They are joined by Paul Wilkinson on guitar, Gary Taylor on drums, and Jon McKinley on brass. These players know each other well from the Northern Irish music scene. Some of them even played together in old groups like Jackson Cage and The Dollybyrds.

The song feels calm and lets every instrument have its own space. Edelle has a great voice that fits right in with the music. It takes you on a fun trip from the very first note to the end. The sound is warm and full of cool little details you notice when you listen again.

Where’s this going? Isn’t music best when you don’t have the answer. The thrill of a new journey, a fresh discovery and then you land back where you started but feeling somehow better. That’s what we’re about.
