Eyal Har-Noy just dropped his brand new single called “This Is Me”, and it has completely taken over my daily rotation and if you happened to catch his 2024 double album Melody of the World or even his instrumental guitar piece The Role of Sand, you already know he has a serious ear for blending sharp melodies with organic instrumentation.
The track starts off with a quiet, grounded opening before building up into an enormous chorus loaded with driving drums and layered electric guitars. What makes this song work so well is the space given to every single element. Eyal handled the writing, performing, producing, and mixing all by himself, giving the final mix a raw, authentic edge that polished studio tracks often lack. His guitar work practically functions as a second voice, carrying melodies and answering back to the vocals in a way that feels natural and deeply expressive.
Theme-wise, the song zeroes in on the idea of growing into who you are supposed to be rather than just staying stagnant. It stems from real hurdles and personal resilience, which gives the lyrics an honest weight, and you can hear flashes of the warm vocal styling and guitar tones reminiscent of John Mayer, mixed with the expansive stadium energy of Coldplay and the intricate guitar touch of Mark Knopfler. Yet, it never feels like a copycat effort; it stays entirely true to his distinct indie roots.
