This one came out of those weird lockdown months when he was stuck in the studio alone, dealing with all the chaos happening around us. You can hear that frustration and confusion he was going through, but he turned it into something worth listening to.

The guy knows his way around music – he’s worked with Bowie and Duran Duran, so he’s got serious chops. On this track, he handles pretty much everything himself, and it shows in how tight the whole thing sounds. The melody sticks with you, and his vocals have this edge that keeps you paying attention. He recorded it at Phoenix Production Studios in London, and they got the sound just right.

The Mess:Age doesn’t write songs the same way everyone else does. He talks about getting ideas from spiritual places rather than copying other people’s work. The words hit hard and deal with real stuff we’re all thinking about.

If you want music that actually says something and doesn’t sound like everything else on the radio, “SACRIFICE” is worth checking out, and you definitely need to follow The Mess:Age because Glen’s working on four new albums right now and you won’t want to miss what he’s cooking up next.
