POLI NIKA’s “Summer’s Falling” hits you right when those last summer days are slipping away, but you’re too wrapped up in good vibes to stress about it.
Right from the start, you get these quiet beats that pull you in without trying too hard. Her voice just flows naturally over these airy synths, and it feels like she’s sitting next to you having a real conversation instead of putting on some big performance. Having Liz Rodrigues on board (she’s worked with huge names like Eminem and Celine Dion) definitely shows in the final product, but they kept it feeling personal and close.
There’s this cool thing POLI NIKA does where she sounds totally present but also kind of wistful at the same time. Enjoyed this track so much, and I really love how it has this fuzzy, sun-drenched quality that perfectly captures those long summer afternoons when you lose track of time completely. Her voice has that same vulnerable quality you hear in Lizzy McAlpine’s stuff, but with her own distinct warmth that hooks you immediately.
Go follow POLI NIKA on Instagram @polinika.official right now because this girl is building something really cool and you’re going to want to catch every release as she keeps putting out these perfectly crafted indie-pop tracks.
