Tess Posner’s latest single, “The Flood” is one of those tracks that can easily stick in your head. Co-produced with Grammy-nominated producer Lael, the track opens with sparse, moody instrumentation that gradually builds into something much larger. Also, the artwork is very beautiful, and I love it.

The talented artist’s voice is central throughout, layered, raw, and stunning. She doesn’t lean on abstract metaphor too heavily; instead, the lyrics cut close to the bone, grappling with fear, surrender, and resilience in a very human way. If you’re drawn to music that leans into vulnerability with real care and depth, this one’s worth your time.

If this track hits you like it did me, give v a follow; you’ll want to hear what’s next.
