“Take A Chance” has this crazy cool thing going on where every sound you hear comes from human voices, but they’ve made it sound like a full ’80s synth-pop production.
Kevin wrote this about those early days with his wife, and man, you can tell. Tyler’s vocals hit just right, not too smooth, not trying too hard, just honest and real. The way they layer all these voices to create drum beats and synth sounds is pretty wild. Jon Ryan handles the vocal percussion like he’s got a drum kit in his throat, and when Oscar and Wallace join in with those harmonies, everything just clicks into place.
This song gets stuck in your head, but in the best way possible. It reminds you of taking those big relationship leaps, when you decide to stop playing it safe and actually tell someone how you really feel about them. You absolutely need to follow Ball in the House on Instagram to keep up with more incredible music from this talented group that continues pushing vocal boundaries.
