YACOVELLI’s “Tell Me Off” will make you want to argue with someone just for the rush of it.
The guitar work here is pretty damn satisfying – starts chunky and then just goes completely off the rails. You know that feeling when you’re so mad you can’t decide whether to yell or stay quiet? That’s this entire song. The vocals jump between actual singing and straight-up hollering, which works perfectly for a song about being attracted to people who drive you nuts.
Alex wants a sound to match that angry energy, and yeah, he nailed it. There’s this brief moment where everything calms down before the ending just demolishes everything in sight. It’s like watching someone count to ten before completely losing their mind.
This whole “Nu York” thing YACOVELLI’s doing feels real. Not some marketing department’s idea of what rebellion should sound like. The track belongs in dive bars where the floor’s sticky and nobody’s pretending to be polite.
If you dig bands that actually sound pissed off about something, this one’s worth your time. Follow YACOVELLI on Instagram for more.
