Loveshadow’s DIY avant-garde pop matches well features from the past and present. The epic team of Anya Prisk and Izaak Schlossman from the Bay Area glide through a musical territory that salutes to soulful sophistication in Sade’s tradition, while also encompassing nuances with dense synthespop. Their songs often have an impressive essence of ethereal sensuality and grooviness. We were impressed by Loveshadow’s first record and it landed in our top favorite records of 2021. Beautiful single “Last Room”, is the lead track off their awaited new album, simply titled II .
