Matt C. White’s “Creepshow Peepshow: Act I” is a rough-edged, genre-blending EP that draws listeners into a world of strange stories and outsider voices. White combines the energy of Redfang, the experimental edge of The Jesus Lizard, and the trippy riffs of King Gizzard and The Sword to make music that’s both familiar and exciting. Every song feels like a brief movie — dark, intense, and full of feeling — all made in the cozy setting of his home studio.

I love how White effortlessly moves between different musical styles, making sure each song is unique but still fits the EP’s eerie feel. The way the music is produced feels stripped down, which really highlights his talent for making vivid soundscapes with little help. I was fully absorbed by the world he built — this EP is best appreciated with close attention and leaves a strong impression.
